Vice President U Henry Van Thio and officials inspected Platwa Bridge Construction Project on 22 September

Vice President U Henry Van Thio, Karen State Chief Minister, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Border Affairs and officials inspected Palatwa Bridge Construction Project on 22 September. Palatwa Bridge has been built by Gold Energy Company Limited for the community development around TYG (2) Hydropower plant.

Officials from Gold Energy Company Limited reported about the project and U Henry Van Thio commented to build the Palatwa Bridge according to the standard criteria, to focus on the safety, to complete by 2019 December, and TYG (2) Hydropower plant is a reliable powerplant for Myanmar as it can produce 120 Megawatt.

Chief Minister of Karen State instructed to finish Plattwa Bridge during current term, and to build the entry and exit ways to the bridge, retaining walls and drainage in the construction of the bridge according to the standard procedures.

Then, Deputy Minister for Construction explained that Plattwa bridge is the first bridge using Balanced Cantilever Method in Myanmar and Ministry is also regulating the project occasionally.

The bridge is being budgeted and built by Gold Energy Limited and the project is estimated to cost 8 billion Kyats.
